Dropping your tools on a route would be a disaster so Grivel have introduced the Double Spring lanyards which won’t interfere with your climbing, whether you are using wrist leashes or not. It means that you can confidently leave your axe in a placement in order to place a screw or set up a belay. The grivel Double Spring Leash has been recently updated to now include a spinner to help prevent twisting.
The Double Spring is attached to the harness by looping it through the tape ring over the harness itself. The two ice axes are attached with 2 small carabiners to the holes on the spike (max 750kg). Permits easy changeovers of hands and tools. The two sections are so elastic that they don’t impede any movement and allow maximum arm extension when required. Compact when required, long when required.
